Lewis's yesterday, and reports a pleasant time. All the family was present except two. Mr. Geo. Lewis is one of Boiling Spring's best citizens and takes great pride in v having his family with him once a year. Church Officers. The vote was light and very little interest manifested in the election. Doath of Mrs. M. A. Shull. Mrs. R. Shull, wife of the late Martin A. Shull, a grand old mother in Israel, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George C. Glenn, at Shandon, suburbs of Columbia, Friday, and was buried at Hebron, near the old homestead, on Sunday at 10 a. m. Pricevillo Dots. Mr. Towill said he never had a single instance of unpleasantness with Mr. Evans the entire time he was on [ the board. He says the story about his being bribed at the hotel is ridiculously false. "Who was this middleman representing Lanahan"; before the board the latter part of last year after Mr. Boykin let the Lanahan interests go?" asked Mr. Towill. "I havent't the slightest idea," Mr. Towill replied. "I don't believe Mr. Boykin ever represented Lanahan. It appears to' be a ridiculous story about Lanahan paying Boykin 82,000. If he was paying so much rebates what was the sense to pay mm a salary? If he had agreed to so act he would have required more than $2,000. I think the story is absurd."?Record.
