Father and Child Bitten fey Mad Cat. Waterloo, May 4-^Mr. Mathew Lowe, a prominent citizen of this place, and bis little daughter, Annie Lanrie, were bitten this morning by a mad cat. Tbe oat has been acting rather strangely for the past week, but nothing - unusual was noticed until this morniog. Mr. Lowe has gone to Atlanta with bis little girl for treatment, A Sad Aocidsat. He was one of the proprietors of the rock work here and his death & much regretted. His friends surely have the sympathy of our people in their unfortunate loss. Dots from Piney Woods. , Mrs. Eady Amick has been very sick, but she is improving. Some of the farmers' have been bad babind with their work, but have about caught up and are now in very good shape. We will have plenty of peaches in this section, but apples are very ahahbv. The grain crop is looking very nice at this writing. Mr. Simon Amick and eons are completing a new ell to his hoaae. Cirpenters are no object these days. O je can be had any time needed. Our last meeting of holy communion at St. Peter's (Piney Woods) was largely attended. 299 communed, and 14 were confirmed. Rsv. J. A. Cromer assisted our pastor, Rev. E. J. Sox, and delivered two very interesting sermons on Saturday and SanOay.
