The business of Wm. Piatt, Columbia,
has grown to such an extent
that he will move into a larger store.
This will be located a few doors from
where he is now. He will fill it with
new goods such as dry goods, dress
goods, millinery, notions and shoes
and Will be better prepared to give
the best goods for the least money.
The largest number of carriages
and buggies we ever saw was in the
Bncloeure afc our county fair, mere
were between 1,000 and 12,000 there
&nd this estimate is not too large.
We take this as meaning that the
county is in a very prosperous condition
and the boys and girls are courting
or that somebody is running in
debt.

On last Saturday Henry, the oldest
son of Mr. J. F. Chapman, got
tangled in a vine, throwing him in a
ditch and had his arm badly hurt.
The yelp of the hounds and the
toot of the horn denotes the delight- 1
ful 'possum chase.
Actions tell us that more weddings
will be in our vicinity soon.
Rev. Mr. Highler filled his regular
appointment at Peak's Sunday and
delivered a very fine sermon.
