I regret that I Bhall not be present to o - - cast my vote against the Dicpen8ary. No longer tban yesterday I saw a negro man buy a bottle of whiskey ' for a minor from our Dispensary. I do not blame Hammond How does he kDow who they are getting it for? : Its the weakness and low down rotteDDess of the Dispensary. Some say I'm opposed to the D a!! pensary, but what will we have after it is voted out ?*' Y>u will huve what you want. We have had now for the ; last thirteen years, rule by a few | political bosses, but the people will | not always be blind while the poli3 tician fills his pockets with stoleD I money. A certain very small poli| tician is showing himself, either very * ?.* 11 ; ? ? ? t*. (IglO-aDt or Wlliuny Lmerepieewuio thing?, when he says that the Dispensary has increased cur schools from three months to six and nine * months. Some people swallow the I statement down at one gulp and say? ''see there." I would not hesitate to say?if it were not unparliamentary? that the statement is a lie out ?of about the whole cloth. Go to your school trustees and ask them how much money they got last year from | the Dispensary. They will tell you I from $12 to probably $25. Now, pray tell me, how you can run a school for four or five months or $25? What a l;e of the devil. You need not supp&se any man has so much real love for the Dispensary law as to spend so much of bis time for nothing. He still has his fingers in the pie. The County School Superintend dent of Education's books show students enrolled last year 6,793 and money received from Dispensaries -4.793 76 Now you divide the amount received by the number of students and you will see bow much esch student should get. But others will talk along this line and so I will hush. If these were my last words to my friends I would say, quit taking everything you bear for truth witbout- investigation. Klondike. It is claimed that Bojd, with Fred G Stalvey, the Clerk of the Boa'd, obtained by fraudulent means Si,439 83 belonging to the county of Horry and used the same for their personal ends. Boyd has be6n removed from office by Governor Hey ward. Astonishing Incident. It was, to all her friends, an astonishing incident that Mrs. I. B. Hunt, of Lime Ridge, Wis., was cured of her dreadful sickness.
