Mr. Charles A. Cal?o, of Columbia,
makes an uoique suggestion in the
Record of the 18th inBt., in reference
to the management of the Dispensary.
He proposes that the Dispensary
be placed under the management
/ of one man aDd that Senator B. R.
Tillman is the rigbt man ror tne
place.
Mr. John B?ll Towill, member of
tbe board of directors of tbe State
Dispensary, was in tbe city yesterday
asd was thinking of making a statement
in reference to Senator Tillman's
demand for the members of
tbe board to re'ian. He decided to
wait and give Senator Tillman a
chance to "specify."?Colombia Stats.

Obituary.
Mrs. Sus8nah Frances Oliver, npe
Stondemire, wife of Mr. James T.
Oliver, died near Peak, S. C.. Sept.
.. 9. 1905, aged 59 years, 4 months and
29 days. She first joined St. Jacob's
Lutheran church, having been baptised
in childood in that communion,
but after her marriage she became a
member of Capers Chapel of the
Lexington Fork Circuit M. E Church,
Sontb, of which her husband and son
are members.
Mrs. Oliver became the mother cf
five children; four sons and a daughter,
of whom only one son survives
her. She was truly a Christian
hearted women, a good neighbor, a
devoted wife and a sympathizing and
loving mother. Alargeoongregation
attended her bnrial at Capers Chape),
where she was laid away to rest on
a lovely Sabbath day. May we all
zsebt her in the bright world above.
