Dec. 28 ?The cotton market broke 30 to 35 points on the census bureu's ginners' report indicating a crop in excess of the government's estimate. There was very heavy trading on the decline. The bears contended that the ginTiers' rennrfc nrobablv forecasted a crop of nearly 13,000,000 bales. Fallowing the report prices, which bad shown weakness since the opening, broke sharply, with January selling around 6 66, March 6 81 and May 6 96, ur a net decline of 22 to 25 points and a break of practically $6 a' bale in two week's time. The market was very active during the afternoon with big short interest covering while there was also heavy liquidation and on every little bulge the bears seemed disposed to withdraw their buying orders and sell more cotton. The low figures reached in the slump are the lowest that cotton has reached in nearly three years. To Cure A Cold Za Oae Say. Take Laxative Bromo Quinine Tablets. Texas, TTesidenr. J. A. Taylor of the National Ginner's association was pretenfc at the meeting and made an address urging the ginners to retain information regarding cotton produced. Among other things he said: *'The government report of the cotton crop is totally incorrect. These reports are as far wrong a9 anything I konw. Many gionera did tot count their bales correctly, often adding many hundred bales more than they had iD reality ginned. In many instances the number of bales ginned was guessed at I have come to the conclusion that I and the other ginners were chumps for giving out the re ports." Domestic Troubles.
