We boarded the Iron Mountain Express for Little Rock, Ark, thence to Jacksonville, Fla, and from here we h*d a 245 mile ride due South to Wauchula, Fla. This was toe end of our destination at present. It is a beautiful town. The meeting held in St. Stephen Lutheran church, in this place, last Wednesday evening, by ladie u the head of the Mission Board ot the Lutheran Synod of South Carolina, was a success both intellectually and financially. The mission cause has been wonderfully blessed and benefited by the presence of these ladies, not only by the offering received but also because there has been a deeper, a broader and a more healthy interest awakened among the members of this branch of the Church, as well as among those of the other denominations, than there ha# heretofore existed, which will grow, ripen and bear fruit to the honor and glory of God and the advancement cf his kingdom on earth. The ladies of the missionary society are: Mrs. Scberer, Miss Grishaber, Miss Dinklebof and Mrs. Krepa. These ladies have several similar appointments in this county whither they have gone to redeem.
