Io this case the personal injury to Mr. Cooper is far less than the lo3s to his constituents. Some years ago his merit gained for him a place on the greatest of the Hoas8 committees?Ways and Means ?and his disappearance from the Souse may cause Texas to lose its representation on that committee. The Republican slogan, "Let -well enough alone," has no truer application than in the continuance in office of hoDest, loyal, and high-minded Representatives. "Wonderful Statistics.
