Coumbia, where he resided during
the closing scenes of his honorable
and useful life, on last Thursday
night. He was seventy odd years of
age, the most of which was spent in
this his native county. He had been

having never fully recovered from
the effects of a stroke of paralysis a
year or so ago. He was a good, trie
loyal and honest man, a patriotic
citizen aDd uccomplaiDgly bore
the hardship0, the disappointments
and trials of this life with remarkable
fortitude. But he is gono and we
are left to miss the sunlight of his
genial presence acd his cheerful disposition,
and to revere and keep
greea his memory. He leaves a
widow and five children, a numb*r
of relatives and friends to mourn his
loss. His remains were interred at
Emanuel church last Saturday.
The widow's elegant aod attractive
form, her sweet smiles and winning
ways charms and fascinates widowers
and bachelors alike and we expect ere

weddiog bells. The air is fragrant
with the perfume of orange blossoms.
