Should Be Stopped.
Some person or persons unknown
have been using dynamite in killing
fish in several of the ponds in this
neighborhood. In both of Mr.
Barre's ponds quantities of fish has
been, killed witn this explosive and
at the pond of Cap=b. P. H. Caughman
dynamite was nsed with disastrous
effect, not only upon the fish,
but upon the dam itself in which a
great hole was made letting out the
water to the run of the creek. This

of a considerable sum of money to
repair it. The using of dynamite in
fishing is a nefarious practice and is

The Bushing Off Sale
Now beiDg conducted by J. L
Mimnaugh & Co., Columbia, is awakening
wide spead interest among
bargain hunters. It is astonishing
how cheap these goods are going
especially when the freshness of the
* stock is considered. This stock conT
tains nothing shoddy or out of date
rbut consists in the latest styles,
fabrics and patterns and are being
rushed off for what they bring in
order to save the expense of moving
them. Hia present quarters will soon
have to be vacated to turn tbem ever
to the lessees, so the goods, everything
without any reserve must go at
any reasonable price. If this class
of goods are not needed at present
thev will come in mighty good later
on and it will pay to buy them now
when they are so cheap. When you
visit the city be sure to call on Mimnaugh
and see this stock, you will
never regret having done so.
