Two of the four State constables
who were recently convicted in
Charleston on a charge of assault and
battery with intent to kill, were given
sixty dayb in jail or a fine of Si00
each. The other two got thirty days
or $50. Pending an appeal to the
Supreme court their sentences have
been suspended. The constables
made the alleged assualt upon a blind
tiger while in the discharge of their
duty.

A carload of dynamite exploded at
JacksoD, Utah, 011 the Southern
