It will be seen that at last a tax has been placed upon the "yaller dog." To provide for biennial sessions of the general assembly. To reqoire common carriers of passengers to transport baggage or sample trunks of two hundred pounds weight or less, free of charge with any passenger. To reqaire owners and tenants to fence in or fill up abandoned wells. To amend code of laws relating to -* ? . ? the publication 01 summonsTo amend the code relating to pensions. To amend the code relating to the time the -personal representative or representatives of a deceased officer shall turn over public funds to such dead officer's successor. To provide punishment for safecrackers. To grant electric lighting and power comfpanies all the rights, powers and privileges conferred upon telegraph and telephone companies. To validate an election in the town of Lexington as to its incorporations. To exempt soldiers and sailors from paying license. To amend section 7, article' 8, of the constitution, relating to municipal bonded indebtedness. To prevent 4he shipping of shad beyond the limits of this State. To allow persons to be tried before magistrates to deposit a sum of money in lien of entering ipto recognizance for their appearance for trial. To amend code in reference to acquisition of land by the United States for public purposes. To provide for repairing the monument erected by the State upon the battlefield of Chickamauga. To encourage the establishment of libraries in the public schools of the rural districts. To amend the code relating to the execution of mortgages of railroad companies. To amend the code, as to labor contracts. To amend the code, as to mileage of members of the general assembly, so as to make it conform to the provisions of the constitution of 1895. , To amend the code, concerning witnesses' fees in court of general .. sessions. To amend the code concerning the ? j. uen or certain mortgages. To prohibit the theft of electric current. To amend the code so as to include private banking institutions. To amend the code relative to the counties exempt from the general laws providing for cotton weighers. To amend the code as to homestead exemption of persons other than beads of families. To validate the . election of intendant and wardens in the town of Swansea for 1904 To amend the code so as to make its terms more definite as to striking juries. To authorize the Lexington Water Power company to erect dams across Saluda river, in Lexington county, and to transmit electric current to other points. To guard against the introduction of the Mexican boll weevil into the State. To fix the salaries of the sheriffs in this State. To establish a Department of Commerce and Immigration and to provide for the appointment and compensation of a secretary. To provide for the election of trustees for the school district of the town of Swansea. To give the railroad commissioners jurisdiction over all telephone lines in this State. To fix the salaries of county supervisors. To appropriate $500 to the D. A. A. in erecting a monument to the partisan generals on the State house grounds. To incorporate the South Carolina Immigration association. To amend the code relating to education. To amend the code relating to the oath of appraisers. To provide for cottonseed meal inspection. To regulate the giving of security for loans under $25. The new medical regulation act. To declare all municipal charters perpetual unless otherwise provided. To allow entire families the use of mileage tickets. Rslating to violation of labor contracts. To allow city officers to grant warrants to break into and enter gambling dens in cities of 5,000 inhabitants. To beautify the State house and grounds. (Make $75,000 appropriation for repairs.) To tax dogs 50 cents each, for the school fund. Pay check system of laborers' wages. 1 Relating to the management of ferries. To prevent freight transportation delay. To ascertain the amount of phosphate in the waters of the State. To allow voting out of established dispensaries. To inake Jim Crow apartments on ferry boats. To secure the purchase money of property sold by attachment proceedings. To protect electric lines, wires and appurtenances. To make the penalty for assault with intent to ravish, 30 years.
