On next Monday night Helen May Batler and her Ladies Military Brass Band will perform in the Opera House at this place. They give a novel and entertaining program that is seldom ever seen in a town the size of Lexiogton. Miss Butler's Band of 16 pieces is composed of some of the most talent ed lady musicians in the country. They played at the Pan American Exposition, Buffilo, N. Y ; Charleston Exposition, Charleston, S C ; Madison Square Girden, N Y; Convention Hall, Washington, D C, and arS now in route to the Worlds Fair Exposition at St. Louis, Mo. Iq commenting on Miss Butler's Band, The State, of Columbia says: "Wecoogratulate Miss Butler and her Ladies Band and tope on her return 0 to Columbia she will again play deservedly to a fall house." ** Miss Butler and her Band will Vplay in Lexington next Monday night December 28;h. Barrett, our prompt mail earlier, has about completed the finishing touches on hia residence on lower Main street, and it now makes a handsome appearance. This is Mr. Barrett's first job of painting and no doubt be would make an expert workman if he should continue in the business.
