In Lodge meeting this night the following tribute of respect was unanimously passed: Resolved, That while in bis inscrutable Providence it has pleased our Heavenly Father to call us to mourn the loss of our beloved Brother, Justus A. Muiler, and to feel deeply ^ the void of bis genial presence; his " * Vll'a W t magnetic manner, ho peuuuawj own; his ever enoonrging word and 1 ready response in acts of duty and 4 generosity, yet we are consoled in the conviction that he has entered into that state of bliss, ' 0 "Where never doleful dream again Shall break the happy slumber, For he giveth His beloved 6leep." t Resolved, That amoDg his many manly virtues, that truthfulness, t frankness, disinterestedness, faithfulness were his guides, Fraternally and D socially; crowned with warm sym- ^ patby and love that entered into all E the joys, sorrows and interests of those be loved and ministered nnto. a . _ Resolved, That his unfailing zeal * in Fraternal work has left as an ex- , - . . ? t ample vhich we will ever cherish ana strive to emulate. Resolved, That to the family of 0 our deceased Brother this Lodge tenders its heartfelt sympathy, and c that a copy of these resolutions be c published in The Carolina Odd Fel- 1 low and The Lexington Dispatch. ' a A Perfect Painless Pill Is the one that will cleanse the * system, set the liver to action, remove * the bile, clear the complexion, cure ] headache and leave a good taste in the j mouth. The famous little pills for doing such work pleasantly and effectually are DeWitt's Little Early | Risers. Bob Moore of Lafayette, j Ind., says: "All other pills I have ^ used gripe and stricken, while DeWitt's Little Early Biserf are simply perfect." Sold by all druggists. t ^ Frauds in Fertilizers. } Complaints have been made to the attorney general's office by Prof. H. M. Stackhousts secretary of the fertilizer board at Clemson, that a nam- * ber of manafaotarer6 are sending oat fertilizers below the legal standard c which is stamped upon the sack and upon the tag. There are over twenty concerns which have violated the law, ^ > and it is probable that they will be 8 prosecuted ander the criminal code, which provides for $1,000 fine or one year's imprisonment. The law allows a fertilizer to fall * 3 per cent, below the standard stamp- f ed, this being done becanse of loss 1 ^ by shipping and exposure, but when ' t 3 per cent, is passed it is a violation i of the law. i jr? Some of the manufacturers, it is 1 alleged, send out fertilizers nearly * 15 per cent, below the standard, and - - ' ? :j < as a result tb6 farmers suner cohbiu- erably. There has been some little 1 violation of the law, but nothing like as many or as large as this year, c The statement and report by Mr. 1 ' Stackhouse caused much surprise. ? j Confessions of & Priest. , Bev.
