McKeeeport, Pa , August 21.?Women mixed with men engaged in a street riot here today. The workmen had a keg of beer and the strikers attempted to capture it. Shots were exchanged but no one was injured. Y, Aug. 21.?Financial legislation and national and New York State politics were the principal topics of discussion today between the president and his guests. Early in the day ^Representative E. J. Hill, of Connecticut, talked with the president of the prospect of enacting remedial financial legislation at the approaching session of congress. Mr. Hill favored an early extra session. Mr. Babcock talked with the president about the work of the extraordinary session of congrees, especially with reference to financial legislation. No determination has yet been reached whether a decision the president will talk or correspond with many members of both the senate and the house of representatives. Gov. Benjamin B. Post Master General Payne has decided to have the mails carried on all trains, whether freight or passenger, when patrons along the line shall so desire. Director Santleman has received word from Baltimore that in order to avoid a ! controversy with the American Federation of Musicians it has been decided not to have the marine band in line at the parade of the Odd Fel lows in Baltimore on September 23. The Federal of musicians put in a protest too late to prevent the band from marching with the recent parade of the Elks in Baltimore, but the officials of the federation have now decided to make a fight to prevent the appearance of the band in all parades of a civic nature.
