E. Eneece. Batesburg Advocate, July 29, 1903. It is with deep sorrow that we an- ' Dounce the death of Mr. John K. Kneece, son of Mr. Moses Kneece, of * ChiEquepio, in Aiken county. He 1 was about 24 years of age. He united with the Lutheran church at Lees- * ville several months ago. During his * whole life he manifested the tender- 1 est filial affection, united with a love ^ and reverence for divine things. ' About three weeks 8go he was appointed by Governor Hey ward to one of the scholarships in the S C. Medical College. He died Sunday morn- ? ing and on Monday at 11 a! m., his c remains were laid to rest in the cem- c etery at Mt. Ebai church, near his 1 home, the funeral services beiDg con- N j ducted by his pastor, Rev. M Kinard of Leesville. We extend our sympa- 6 thy to the bereaved family. 8 , # v Notes fron Ella. k To the Editor of the Dispatch: The health of this community is not so good at present. j. We could, but think, how he came over the distant and rough road to speak the eternal trues of God's word to a people that he loved so dearly. The members of that church seeing and realizing his condition and aware of the fact that he was once their shepherd, they thought it their duty to lift a collection for him, which was done and the result was good, but in return he gave them bis heartfelt thanks and assuring them that bis prayers would ever go up that they may never enter into the state of condition that he is in.
