in town Saturday in attendance upon
the Teachers' Association, and while
here some of them called upon the
Treasurer and had their pay certificates

man of this vicinity, has moved to

follow him to his new home. We

Major R. N.Lowrance, a prominent
business man and a well known and
highly respected citizen of Columbia,
died at the home of his son, in Morgan
city, La., on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Major Lowrance has been in declining
health for some years. He was
about 74 years of age.

Thursday night at his home in Newberry
