The movement of fruits and watermelons

stipation than from any other enemy ]
of our race; there is a long train cf ]
annoying ills as a direct result i

its treatment as Kamondrs Liver Pills
and Tonic Pellets. 25 cts., sample I
free.
A gang of horse thieves are operating
around Wagenei's, over in Aiken
county, and many persons have had
animals stolen. Lexington farmers ^
had better look well after their stock
and lock their stable doors while the 1
horse is in it and not wait until it is
gone before doing so. *
The midsummer display of dry
goods, millinery and notions at Wm.
Piatt's Columbia, is marvellously

Another Veteran Gone.
To the Editor of the Dispatch:
Another old Confederate Veteran
has passed over the river from this
section, thereby taking one more
name from the pension roll L. W.
Lancaster, who was 94 years old last
December.
He was the father of Mrs. Jasper
Redmond and Mrs. I. W. Hutto of
this neighborhood, and J. M. Lancaster,
of Columbia.
Ha moved to this section several
years ago from Barnwell county, near
Blackville.
He leaves a clean record behind
him, having lived a long lif$ of usefulness
and noble deeds.
He was a plain, modest man but
true as steel. It can truly be said
of him a Patriarch i3 gone. He was ,
a faithful member cf the Baptist
church. W. II. F. Ii.
