States Minister Powell, owiDg to the
situation of affairs here, has suspended
intercourse with the revolutionary
government and is preparing
to leave San Domingo for Hayti, to
which he is also accredited. The
departure is due to grave difficulties
existing in Hayti, where a revolution
| is said to he in progress.

A well known student of nature
