George M. Corley's, where I had
been cordially invited to take part in
the marriage of.their daughter. Miss
Mary M., to Mr. George D. Oxner,
both of Lexington, the Rev. L. R
j Taylor, (ter uncle), officiating. At
I the hour, 12:15 p. m , the bride and
groom appeared at the altar, when
their mutually plighted faith was
received, and marriage vow sealed by
| the minister. Toen the company,
! consisting of relatives, repaired to
the dining room, where a sumptuous
repast awaited them. One of the
interesting features of the occasion
j was, the anniversary of the eldest
| daughter's marriage, to Mr. Willie
; Harman twelve years ago.
It was indeed a quiet, but enjoyable
occasion.
That night, 8 p. m , at the Biptist
church, I again addressed another
large and attentive congregation,
which was also graced by the presence
of the happy newly married
couple. May the blessing of heaven
always attend these precious lives all
their days. Thus ended a joyous
and I hope profitable 5th Sabbath in
