I The rebuilding of the Santa Fe! bridge across West Galveston Bay, I destroyed by the recent storm, was a j rapid piece of btidge erection. 141 was completed in practically ten days j and trains were run into Galveston I j as usual. The bridge is a wooden j trestle 10,200 feet long, and, in ad- i dition, about eight miles of track on the mainland that had been washed away was rebuilt. There was .also 800 feet of piling entirely washed away that requited rebuilding and a draw was also constructed iu the bridge.
