"Bring in Another Mule."
Bay a good, young mule cheap,
which can be done at the large sale
stables cf the Gregorj-Rhea Mule
Co., Columbia. They have the
largest stables, the best stock, as to
condition, number and cheapness.
They are also large deulc-rs in wagons,
buggies and harness, and in these
lines they cannot nor will not be undersold.
Their motto being the best
goods for the least money, and in
every sale they live up to it. Nothing
is misrepresented by them. You
get the value of your dollars in every
purchase. Give them a call.
Bargain Givers,
The old reliable Aliance Store of
Columbia, known throughout the
country for the excellency and cheapness
of its goods, offers some unprecedented
bargains to the readers of
the Dispatch in this issue. This
store is the fountain head of bargains
and a great saving institution to the
consumer. Under the excellent management
of Mr. Arthur Kohn, the
Farmerb' and Mechanics Company
has become to be a household word
and he himself is recognized to be
the King of Bargain Givers. It is
the duty of each individual to do the
best they can in the purchase of the
necessaries of life, both as to supplies,
luxuries, clothing, shoes and
hats, and they can do this by making
their purchases at the store of the
Farmers' and Mechanics Company.
Now is the Time.
In these times when the prices of
every commodity have an upward
tendency it seems strange tb it rner
chants advertise a reduction in the
price of a particular line of goods
There must of a necessity b) an im
pelliug cause for this and we naturally
infer that one of three reasons
is the lever which prises open
the heart and make3 the merchant a
benefactor to the consumer. He
mast either be overstocked, or in
need of money or is going oat of a
particular line. Mr. J. B. King,
proprietor of King's Ricket Store,
under the Jerome Hotel, Columbia,
frankly tells the readers of the Dispatch,
in this week's issue, that -he
both wants money and is going out
of the shoe business, consequently,
to accomplish the latter in the
earliest possible time, he has determined
to throw his large stock of well
made and fashionable shoes on the
market at and below cost. This
stock embraces all the latest shapes
and toes and are new, fresh and
clean goods, suitable for all kind and
shapes of feet, and for every kind of
wear. Those who want a real bonafide
value in footwear should examine
this stock before purchasing.
Needing more money than goods
he has determined to throw his entire
stock of dry goods and other
articles enumerated in his advertisement
on the mirket for a limited
time at greatly reduced figures.
Those wishing to take advantage cf
this great bargain sale should certainly

likely to strike the town will soon
engulf among its victims a prominent
merchant as well as the entire staff
of the Bachelors' Club.
To consider the social feature of
