Her long life was a beautiful epistle of Christian's love aDd faithful devotion to the precepts and example of her Lord and Master and after a' \ short illness she fell asleep trusting { in the promises of her Saviour and i stroDg in the faith and hope of a glorious and peaceful resurrection to immortal existence beyond thepotals of the grave, which is but the entrance to the beauties and grandeau and happiness of the heavenly kingdom. Lexington was represented in the Dewey reception at New York by Mr. Samuel J. Bickley of the Dutch Fork.
