She suffers fiom a tumor, and at times it is intense. Enoch Ere, the silver tongued orator of Hollow Creek, came around to see us Saturday, when he was in town. Mr. W. J. Evans Hall of the Samaria section, preached in the Baptist church. The good Samaiitan did not take us to the inn and pay our fare and heal up our wounds, but told us of that kingdom of which we could become citizens and whose king would do more than care for us during illness and a brusied condition but would defend against all future attempts of th i robbers. Miss Virginia Yam is visiting her sister, Mrs. W. H. F. Rast. Miss Black and Miss McGowan are also spending sometime with 0De of Swansea's aspirants for the Senate. Miss Mattie Hutto of CbicquepiD is spending sometime with her brothers, Paul and Silas Hutto. Mrs. John R Langford, while riding a bicycle several days since, fell and injured her knee very painfully but not dangerously. She is able to be about again with the aid of crutches. Mrs. Minnie Simpson of Saluda, is for a few days again with her father, Dr. W. T. Brooker, Swansea's other candidate for the Senatorial crown. The young folk spent a very pleasant evening on last Thursday at the home of W. B Rast. It was given for the comfort and enjoyment of Swansea's fair visitors. Mr. Rist and wife and the affable and pleasant Miss Annir, did their full part to make it an occasion of feast and festivity. Mr. Jesse Roof, the brother of our veteran lumberman, Mr. C. S. It appears that the young gitl was in the yard of the Henry Miller old homestead, and voudjz Miller happened to pass through the jaid at the time, with a shot gun. We did not learn exactly how the gun was discharged, but it was and the entire load of number 3 shot entered the back of the gills head on the right side and some of fhe shot passing entirely through the head. The sufferer lived only about two hours after being shot. Magistrate SweedeDberg empanelled .* jury and held au irquest, after bearing the evidence the verdict was in substance that she came to her death by being accidently shot byyoung D. L Miller.
