Resolved, That this convention hereby express its gratification at the patriotism and love of freedom, and sympathy for suffering humanity (ii the part of the young men of this county who have volunteered to cn list in the army to fight for the freedom of C iba. This convention bids them God speed on their mission of bravery and mercy, and bin cereiy hopes that after their unselfish duty has been performed, they ma} return unhurt to their families and their country.
