In our w?anderiDg3 we saw sone of the finest crops of corn that we have seen in a long time. The ear3 were large, full and heavy and it is safe lo say that an immese crop has been I made. The pea crop is also fine, a large crop of both the pea and the vine haviDg been made. It has been observed that the mailer a man is the greater is the case of "big head" when he gets it. Harman & Son have the contract for overhauling the old ballot boxes and furnishing new ones. Lewie received last Monday the sad news of her mother's death in Philadelphia, and, although unwell herself, left immediately for that city. Mr. Petit, the engineer of train 35 which collided wi?h No. 36 on the South Bound Railroad near Swansea nearly opposite Col. D. J. Knott's residence, last Wednesday, in which three men were killed, was arrested on an affidavit sworn to by the State Railroad Commissioners charging him with manslaughter. He gave bail for his appearance at the February term of court for this county.
