Entered In'o Eternal Rest, I Mr. S. J. Ballentine died at his home in the Savilla neighborhood last Thursday, October 2otb. His ! death was unlooked for and was un- i expected by his family and friends. I He had been sick for about two j weeks improving rapidly, but during i that night he suddonly grew worse and when discovered by bis attendant was in a dying condition. His household was aroused but before the members could reach his " bedside, the breath had , left his body and his immortal soul passed into the great unknown. I 4 X ELECTION WILL BE HELD j J.\. on Tuesday, the 6th day of; November, 1894, at the legally estab- j lished precincts in Lexington county, j for a Representative of the Seventh Congressional District of South Carolina iu the Fifty fourth Congress of the United States. The polls will open at 7 o'clock a. m. and close at 4 p. m. At the close of the election the managers shall immediately proceed to publicly count the ballots. Within three days after the election the chairman of the board of managers, or one of them, at each precinct, shall deliver to the Commissioners of Election at Lexington, S. C., the poll list, the boxes containing the ballots and a written statement of the result of the election at his precinct. The managers shall administer to each person offering to vote an oath that he is qualified to vote at said election, and that he has not already voted in said election.
