School Commissioner Kaiser, has been complimented by State Superintendent Mayfield, for his promptness in forwarding his annual report. A free bridge across Saluda river will be a great convenience to the people of the Fork and will save them not only annoyance and time, but money. A. M. The 14-year-old daughter of Mr Jacob Skarpe, of Piatt Springs secj tion, was so badly burned on Saturday that she died from the effects of the burns on Sunday. Assmann was arrested last Frday, charged with malfeasance in office, and car ried before J udge Jtsenet and gave bond in the sum of ?1,000 for his appearance at the February term of the Sessions court, the following persons signing the bond; E.
