of Greenwood, was slabbed in the 1

Deaths,
? Mr. John B. Evins, of this
place, who has been a sufferer
from cancer of the face for sover^
al years, died yesterday morning
about 4 o'clock. He was a native
of Chesterfield, a half brother
of the late Dr. J. C. Blakeney,
and was a Confederate veteran.
He was about 60 years of age and
leaves his wife, four sons and five
daughters, all grown, surviving
him. His remains will he interred
in the town cemetery at 10
o'clock today.

? Eva,the youngest daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Black well, who
recently moved back to Kershaw
from Camden, died at Kershaw
last Sunday, Feb. 28, 1904, after
i short illness of pneumonia, aged
