her whole weight on her thigh
fracturing the bone again, ii not
having knitted strongly together
since the last accident.

C. L. Boone, a white man, of
the Elgin section, aged 50 \ ears,
formerly of North Carolina, was
committed to jail at this place
Monday charged with the tinmen
tionuble crime. The warrant was
sworn out by Boone's wife, and
his fourteen year old daughter is
the alleged victim. She report'
ed to some of neighbors Monday
morning that during Sunday night
her father by intimidation and
force had compelled her to yield
to him. The parties to whom she
related her story were highly incensed
at the thought of such an
outrugeous crime in their community,
but, law abiding people
that they are, they at once phoned
Sheriff Hunter about the matter,

was on the grounds and bad the
accused in his custody and under
