torthwait's truck crop on Cat island
was literally ruined by the
hail stones on Monday afternoon.
Many shingles were torn from the
roof of his house. Numerous
hail stones woro S inches long by
G inches in circumference. Holes
werodug into the ground and potatoes
cut up under tlio hill.
Nearly a thousand window
glasses were broken at the naval
station, to replace which will cost
about $700. Mr. Sniitlnvick received
