The store is m Main street, near the heart of the business sectioD. and the burglary was a bold ono. Entrance was obtained by the burglar through an ice chuto in tho rear. The front koy holes were found this morning plugged with wood to prevent the quick use of keys from the outsido. The safe door was drilled and the rest was easy. Every cont of money in tho store was tnken. ? Prof. () B Martin, the State superintendent of education, has returned from Ilenth Springs, where he visited the public schools in tbat wide awuko community. Prof Martin speaks very highly of the enterprise of the people of lleath Springs in school matters. This, by the way, is the; only town in the State which has accepted the offer of the general ed ucational board and has raised the $1,500 for the purpose of building and operating a manual training school for the pupils ot the public school. i'he general educational board will appropriate a sum e<pial to that contributed to this purpose by the people of Heath Springs. Prof. Martin made un address to the patrons of the school, and in the meeting of citi/.sns it was decided to increase the tax levy for school purposes front 3 to 4 mills.?The State. ?G. F.
