Among them was our

The Methodist Sunday School
pic-nic last Wednesday was a
most enjoyable occasion. It could
not have been otherwise at Bascomville
with its bountiful shady
groves and its clover, hospitable"
people. About one hund-ed persons
were in attendance and from
the oldest down to the youngest
was delighted with the trip. The
children worn imnml in tlinir innn
coot ^ames and sports by the older
people who became children again
just for the day. Playing marhies,
jumping rope,swinging, play
ing ball, bull pen, pitching horso
shoes, mumble-tho-peg, etc.,made
the time fly only too quick. The
dinner was tho finest we ever saw
at a pic-nic and it was there in
abundance. A*i afternoon lunch
was served about 4 o'clock and
again at sundown. About 0
o'clock the crowd left the grove
at Hopewell church and came up
to the beautiful grove of the

the time was pleasantly spent
there until the train arrived about
