has been ejected front the volcano
of Mont Pelee and has fallen on
Basse Pointe, enveloping the lower
portion of the town and com
pletely razing 22 houses. No loss
of life has been reported.

forth cinders on the northern part J
of the island which has been ren (
dered uninhabitable. Previous to ^
