the University of N. C., at Chapel
Hill, is at home to spend the
Summer vacation. At the com*
mencement exercises Wednesday
Mr. Stewart was awarded the
handsome gold medal offered by
the Dialectic Society for the best
debater. This ma-kos the fifth
gold medal Mr. Stewart has won
on oratory and debate siocfe his
entrance at school five years ago.
Mr. Stewart will graduate in another
year.

Anna Stevens Married

Rock Hill, June 4, says: Yesterday
evening at 7:30 o'clock at the
family residence in Hampton
street Miss Anna, the eldest
daughter of Mr. and Mr<*. J. H.
W. Stevens, was married to Mr.
Leroy Springs Davidson of Lancaster,
the. Rev. Chalmers Fraser
of Lancaster officiating. Owing
to recent family berf avemnnt the
marriage was a very quiet affair,
only the family and a few invited
friends being present. After the
ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Davidson
went up to Charlotte where
they will spend a few days with
the groom's mother, afterwards
retiirn*ng to their future home in
Lancaster.
