Secretary of War Hoot, Mrs. Hoot and daughter arrived hero from Cuba this evening on board the government yateh. Regarding the trip Secretary Hoot said: "My v sit to Cuba was for the purpose ofarrangingfor the transfer of the island to the Cubun gov ornnient on May 20. Seven artillery companies consisting of 800 men will remain in charge of the guns, ammunition, ect. aswill bo retained in Cuba, intended for tli?
