Sudden Death of Mrs Adams
While the family were sitting
around the fireside Tuesday evening
last at Mr Clevis Hardin's
home at the cotton mill, Mrs.
L'uis Adams, the mother of Mrs.
liardin, suddenly fell forward
from her chair, her head striking
the andiron. She was immediately
taken np and carried to a bed hut
life was extinct. The elender
thread had b^en severed without
a moment's warning Mrs. Adams
was about 55 years of a^e and
leaves several children, all grown,
surviving her She was a member
of Shiloh church and her remains
were interred there Thursday, the
Rev Chalmers Fraser conducting
the funeral aervice.
A Son of Mr Iteubea Cautliea Accidentally
Kills Himself
Johnnie, the 13 year old son
of Mr. Reuben Cautbea of Kershaw
vicinity, accidenally shot
himeelf through the head last
Wednesday evening aad died from
the wound abeut two hours later.
Johnaie's mother told him to
bdild up a fire and he eaid "all
right mother, I'll build a good
one," and he went out and gut an
armfull of wood, placed it ia the
fireplace, aad pulled epen a
drawer to the bureau to get a
match to elart it with when he
espied his father's pistol and
picked it up. He examined it alittle
and started to put it back in
the drawer hurriedly when the
hammer struck against the top ef
the bureau cauaiag the pistel to
be discharged with the result
abort stated. His remains wsrs
Interred Thursday afternoon. ,

young noy, went down to the
funeral.

After a week of sight seeing
and pleasure in the city by the
tea we are again at our post. And, j

D. Ingram, naw of Columbia, is

his death. Ha arranged for
tha body to be sent to tbis place
for interment and it left Waco
Tuesday evening. The corpse
