o'clock Mr. O O. Ferguson, of
Lancaster, 8. C., and Miss Loualla
E. Barnett, of India Hook, York

A Mad Hoc
About two weoks ago a dog
that acted very strangely bit Mr G
B. Barron's dog and also a dog
and a hog belonging to Luke
Gavin. Some daye ago Mr. Barron's
dog became wrong and was
killed. Mr. Barron supposing it
to be poisoned. Afterwards Luke
Gavin's dog acted the same way
and was killed, and then tha hog
got wrong and acted like a dog
with hydrophobia so that it was
killed Monday night by l'oliceman
Pardue and buried yesterday to
keep any thing from getting it. A
mad hog is something unusual.
Basket Supper
There will be a basket supper
at Flat Creek academy Satnrday
night, Feb. 1st. The proceeds
will be applied to the school. We
will hare seese of the heat looking
girls and best "rashioaa" of Lancaster,
Chesterfield and Kershaw
counties. Ladies, bring your
baskets and beax and let's have a
gay time. Net only is the sporting
invited, but we hope to have
