In a communication in today's
J server Mr J. O Bell, of Hen?i
Motta, throws some new li?jht on
:he cherry tree business, especial
y in connection with tho statement
of Rev. T. Bright tint everything
was straight during his ?dministration
of it. Mr. Bell demonstrates
that *his is not true. It
is quite interesting to note that
after having made $4,500 out of
tho business, the Rev. Mr Bright
prayed over the matter and found
himself re-called to preach iJnwilling
to allow a few cherry trees
to stand hot ween him and his (iod,
he sold out and resumed the work
of the Gospel ministry, leaving
sundry women who had sent him
$12 apiece under promise of $20
a month for writing at home,
with the hag to hold. The Baptist
denomination will no doubt
deal with his co-e. He is now
dividing the Word on the other
side of the ridge. His son Frank
Bright, made $4,500 out of the
business in less than thirty days,
when he whs seized with h sudden
impulse to move nnd tried to sell
out to Mr. Hell, who, declining
to buy, he unloaded upon his old
man and went to Florida. The
Observer is informed that the
young man Wilkie raked off 185,000
before he unloaded. He has
since applied the endless chuitf
principle to his job printing business
in liutherfordton. We are
further informed and believe that

various managements to the
amount of $4(>,000. It may be
that if suits were instituted now
for the purpose of making the
