This was a verv interesting day

Nelson, a highly respected citizen
Today the 5th of November was
his 84th birth day. For a number
of years he has been in feeble
health, and for the last 2 or 3 years
he has been confined to his home
and much of the time his house.
Being deprived of the privilege of
"going ti|> to the House of God in
company with them that kept the
solemn holy day,''it was his desire
to inset once more with his kin

friendly greetings and suei?! dIau.
em res from which h. his seclusion
he had heen cut olT, and unite with
them once more in acts of solemn
worship, to give thanks unto the
Lord for His goodness, and to inyoke
the continuation of Hi* lor,
ing care. According to previous
arrangement, kinsfolk and friends
numbering l.r>0 or more, with his
pastor, Ker J M White, assembled
at his home to celebrate the day.
His four children, two sons and
two daughters, and four grandchildren,
one niece and seven
nephews were present, three
nephews absent. Mr. Nelson is
the only survivor of a family of
ten children, four brothers and
tivo sisters having preceded him
to the Spirit Land.
Religious exercises were conducted
hy hits pastor, Rev. ,J M

with singing the 23d Psalm -that
Psalm which has cheered lip so
many in their pilgrimage here
