jail at Cleveland, where he had
heon removed for safety, rushed
to Akron taken to the court house,

arrival in Akron, was convicted
of the crime and sentenced to the
penitentiary for life at hard labor.

grand jury, which had been impanelled
during the afternoon.
Judge Nye, of Elyria, pronounced
the sentence. Within two minutes
after the sentence had been
