The closing exercises of tho Oakhurst High School, Wm C Bynum, Principal, came off last Monday night. Mrs It E Wylie and daughter, Miss Juanila, aro attending tho commencement exercises at Win^ throp college this week. Our old friend Mr T T Gregory of Taxahaw, wan quite ill the past week, but we are glad to learn was able to sit up Sunday. Mrs J W Hainel and children passed through Lancaster yesterday en route to Atlanta, Ga, where they go to visit the former's sister. j Rev A N Branson is attending the Wofford College commencement this week. His family is visiting relatives in another part of the h'tate. Rev. J I! Boldridge will occupy the pulpit. Miss Lillier Stevens, who has been teaching school at Bamberg the past year, returned home Monday, hor school having elosed last Friday for the Summer vacation. Mr J B Horn spent last week with his family near Tradesville and returned to HartsvilleSunday.
