On Wednesday last a eolore< man unearthed a silver vase 01 punch bowl while excavating ir the park. The bowl is about 1C inches high with cover complete, and as bright as new. It bear! the following inscription, "Presented to James Stead for killing aoouioi reo. 8, 1TM0," witt a deer engraved on the bowl. Tht IkjwI with covet weighs 2f pound* The find is a valuable one. Th< date indicates that the bowl cam* to its burial place shortly aftei the city of Columbia was locates i here.
