MOTHER'S FR1EN&
Is the remedy which relieves
women of the great pain and suffering
incident to maternity; this 1
hour which is dreaded as woman's
severest trial is not only made
painless, but all the danger is removed
by its use. Those who use
this remedy are no longer dc- j
spondent or gloomy; nervousness
nausea and other distressing conditions
are avoided, the system is
made ready for the coming event,
and the serious accidents so com- i
mon to the critical hour are
obviated by the use of Mother's I
Friend. It is a blessing to woman.

L?oeu calling upon both, sending

Lo each one. They conferred and
derided to each write him a note
linking him to call at a certain
hour, and as he could not possibly,
obey both commands at once, it
was to be conclusive proof that
th? gill whom he favored was in
j ossession of his heart, or whatever
the man flirt calls that organ.
Whom should they meet just aa
their decision was made but Tom
himself ! He stopped to speak to
them for a moment, Hut said
nothing mora interesting than
that he had lost hiaoinihrtlla. Tlio
girls parted, each going to their
own homo to write her note. Dolly
wrote: "Dear Tom?liavo
bean taken suddenly ill. Perhaps
I may die. May I see you at
once ?'' But the evening passed,
and no Tom appeared. Ho had
answered Polly's summons. It
read : "Dear Tom?Come up
to night. You left your umbrella
