As the passenger train on the
L & C Railroad was going into
Chaster last Friday morning the
engine ran into the rear end of a
train of the Yorkville road which
had backed down on tba track,
doing considerable damage to the
York train, and slightly disfiguring
the engine of the Lancaster
train. Tliare were about Ifty
passengers on the L & C and they
were considerably jostled up hut
fortunately no one was seriously
hurt. Tb? engineer* and fireman
of both traia* aecaped injury by
jumping.
