At last, the people of the State
who have been interested to know
how much the school funds of the :
several counties would got under

tended to see that the public
schools got enough from the dis-!

on the enrollment of children in
the public schools up to per':

based on the taxes levied for 18ft6
and the apportionment has been !
made by the comptroller under
the provisions of tho new constitution
and of joint resolution No
Id passed at the last session of the
general assembly. Somo time
ago it was estimated that the
amount the dispensary would have
to pay would be ?70,UU0 in round
numbers to make up the deficiency
in the counties falling behind.
That sum was paid The final
figures now show that the total
exceeds this amount by f+ttO.55.
When tho State board of control
meets on the 31st this will he called
to its attention. The board
will be called upon to pay in the
sum indicated. In several counties
