purport that application will he made at
the next Session of the North Carolina
Legislature for a Charter for a Koad from
Charlotte to the South C<ifo'ina line,
which we presume refers to the project in

We believo, with 'our Georgetown
friends, that the measure is perfectly fear- I
able As' stated before, our people are
too impoverished to lend mpch material
aid at present ; but something can be
done^and perhaps thaet will soon become
more propitious. There is no better way

one third of the real eetate in the District
