McClung has resigned his position with the Lynch drug store and has accepted a position as pharmacist with the Taylor Drug Company of Columbia. He is a full graduate of the Atlanta College of Pharmacy and is well equipped j for his work. The Advertiser wishes j him well in his new field. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Morgan came over from Georgetown last week to visit Mr. Morgan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Morgan. He returned to Georgetown Thursday but Mrs. Morgan will remain with Edgetield relatives several days. Johnson, our fellow towns mt'n, has the sympathy of his friends in the death of his father which oc curred at his home in Gr?nitevi!le Sun day, December 23. Mr. Johnson ren dertJ gallant service during the four years of the Civil War and all through his long life of 73 years has made an exemplary cit'ren. He was a native of this county and his body was laid to rest in the Johnston cemetery. Wednesday afternoon, December 27, Miss Nellie Hill and Mr. J. 0. Williams were married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Maggie Hill, three miles north of Edgefield. Their marriage was a very quiet one, only the members of the immediate families of the bride and groom being present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. P. B.- Lanham. The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Maggie Hill. Since her graduation from Winthrop college she has been a very successful teacher. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. C. M.
