NOTICE OF ELECTION. State of Sooth Carolina, County of Edgefield. Whereas, there has been filed with the County Board of Educa . tion of Edgefield county, State of South Carolina, a petition ol more than one-third of the resident elec tors, and a like proportion of the resident free-holders of the age of 21 years of Plum Branch School District No. 15, in said county and state asking an election in said dis trict for the purpose of voting on the question of levying and collect ing an additional special tax of two mills on the dollar of all taxable property of said district to supple ment the schoc. fund for said dis-1 trict, Now, therefore, under providions j of Sec. 1208, General School Law of South Carolina, it is ordered that W. J. White, W. R. Freelaud, B. D. Kitchens, constituting the regu lar board of trustees, do hold an election at Plum Branch School House in county and state aforesaid on Saturday March 16th, 1912, af ter giving notice of time and place | of said election in some newspaper | published in Edgefield county, and by posting notices thereof in at least three public places in said district two weeks before elec tion. At this election only such elec tors as return real or personal prop erty for taxation, and who exhibit their tax receipts and registra tion certificates as required in general elections, shall be allowed to vote. At said election each elector fa voring the proposed levy shall cast) a ballot containing the word "Yes' written or printed thereon, and each elector opposed to such levy shall cast a ballot containing the word "No" written or printed thereon. Within ten days after) such election if a majority of those voting shall vote for such levy the board of trustees shall furnish the County Auditor with a statement of j the amount so levied.
