contemplated recovering ?[their

It was the happy privilege of
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mim.8 to have
had th?ir kinsman, the Rev. Dr.
J. Q. Adams, of Charlotte, and his
nephews, Dr. Manly Tiramons.
Messrs. Beauregard and Richard
Timraone and their good wives at
tea on Monday evening. The occa
sion served in part as a delightful
reunion of a portion of the once
large and exceedingly happy Tim
raons family. The coming together
of these kinsmen, breaking bread
and chatti?g freely and unreser
vedly arouud the festive hoard as
was their wont when they were
boys, naturally inspired a remi
niscent mood. Many a childhood

incident related that transpired in

Sunday last marked the close o
the fiftieth year of the marris
life of our beloved friends, Mr
and Mrs. James T. Ouzt3, of Elm
wood. The occasion was quietly
though beautifully and appropri
ately celebrated by a family re
uuion at their ideal country home
where they have resided since
their marriage. lu wavs too nu
merous to mention Heaven has
blessed tuis happy God-fearing,
God-serving couple, but tbe great
est blessing has been their chil
dren, two sons aud six daughters,
jail of whom reflect with honor and
?credit tho lives and teachings of
their worthy parents.
The children are Dr. W. D.
Ouzts, Mr. Albert G. Ouzts, Mrs.'
W. J. Adams, Mrs. J. 0. Horin
Mrs. W.H. Barling, Mrs. J. M.
Shaffer, Mrs. G, T. Asbill and
Miss Flora Ouzts, all of whom
were prebent except Mrs. Asbill,
who resides in Louisville, Ky,
Nearly all of their twenty-eight
grand-children were also present.
The day was spent largely, but
not altogether, in delightful social
intercourse, for the good wife,
mother and grand-mother had pre
pared a bountiful feast that was
reived in good old fashioned style.

try, frugality-an ample provi
der-which was abundantly ^de
monstrated in this their golden
wedd ng dinner.
Deserving especial moiitiou is
